Information
Before you connect
- Plug your thermocouples and RTDs into the reader first and confirm they read on its own display.
- Set each channel's sensor type on the reader. XPC reads the values the reader reports; it does not change the sensor type.
What XPC reads
All four thermocouple channels and both RTD channels appear in XPC as separate temperature signals, so you can log, trend and use any of them in control loops.
Troubleshooting
If a channel shows no value, check the probe on the reader's display first. An open thermocouple shows as a fault in XPC rather than a temperature.
